This is a 1,2,3 kind of recipe, easy as pie literally!

  • Preheat the oven to 350F and steam the veggies inside the bag for 5 minutes . Take them out of the oven and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Combine the veggies, cooked diced chicken breast, condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, and poultry seasoning using a medium-sized bowl. Using a rubber spatula, mix all ingredients until well combined.
  • Take the pie crusts out of the fridge and unroll one of them on top of a 9-inch pie dish. Make sure to press the dough to the sides of the dish, so it perfectly adheres. Scoop the filling into the prepared pie dish and distribute it evenly.
  • Unroll the second pie crust on top of the filling and pinch the edges to seal the top and the bottom crusts. Crimp the edges using your fingers to create a nice pattern.

    Easy Chicken Pot Pie This is my go to recipe for a quick and delicious dinner! 1 12oz can of chicken 2 10.5 cans of cream of chicken soup, 1 16oz bag of mixed veggies , 1 8count tube of pillsbury biscuits. Prepare veggies as directed on the bag, drain and return to pan.

    I highly recommend chicken thighs for this chicken pot pie soup recipe. I didnt always use chicken thighs for my soup recipes, but once I started, there was NO going back. Chicken thighs are dark meat which means they are inherently juicier, richer tasting and produce far more tender chicken than chicken breasts. They are also harder to overcook and stay tender for days with a more palate pleasing texture, even when reheated for leftovers.

    In addition, chicken thighs are browned first which adds an important layer of flavor to the overall soup as all those golden, flavorful bits become part of the broth.

    Can You Freeze Chicken Pot Pie Casserole

    This casserole freezes very well! If you were not aware gravy actually freezes wonderfully which is what I do with almost any leftover gravy recipes, including my staple sausage gravy that I too freeze for shortcuts to breakfast! Also, try to keep the biscuits frozen separately since you would have to thaw the casserole in the first place before baking, as you wouldnt want to compromise on the quality of the biscuits. To freeze pour the gravy into a disposable baking pan and cool completely before wrapping in aluminum foil. Wrap pan in a grocery bag to protect from frost and keep frozen for up to 3 months.

Here in Utah winter lasts waaayy too long for my liking. We dont always have snow, but we have very cold days for months and months and it feels like it will never end. Which means every day I want to eat something hot and comforting and delicious for dinner.

    So, the other day I wanted something nice and easy too, so I decided to go with chicken pot pie, but instead of a traditional pie I used biscuits as my crust and to make it extra easy I used Campbells® Oven Chicken Pot Pie Sauce.

    This sauce gave me the perfect break from everything thats been going on for the holidays, with only 5 minutes of prep for a warm and delicious meal from scratch baked and ready about 40 minutes later. All I had to do for this perfect comfort meal was cut up some raw chicken, mix it in with some vegetables and stir it in with the sauce and pop it in my oven. I baked it for 25 minutes, put some canned biscuits on top and baked for an additional 15 minutes and then voila.
