Even if you uare using already cooked chicken, this will help to flavor your cream of chicken soup.

Youre still making a blonde roux, and not cooking it to a dark brown color.

I always keep Orrington Farms Chicken Flavored Broth Base in my pantry. Its an easy and economical way to make gluten-free chicken broth. I buy it at Walmart.

In my area, Ive had more luck finding chicken bone broths without onion, garlic, or celery.
Bone broth tends to be thicker than regular broth. If thats what I have, I will thin it out with equal parts of water to get the 8 cups needed for this soup.

How To Make Healthy Gluten Free Chicken Noodle Soup
Step One: First, start by heating a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Once the pot is hot you can add in the oil. For this recipe I like to use a good tablespoon of olive oil but you could also use avocado or coconut oil. Whatever you have on hand will work just fine! Next, add the diced onion and garlic to the pot and saute for a few minutes.
Step Two: Once the onion begins to become translucent, add in the chopped celery and sliced carrots and give everything a good stir.
Step Three: Next, add in your herbs, spices, and bay leaves! Stir in the fresh thyme , dried bay leaves, turmeric powder, salt, and pepper.
Step Four: Ok, now its time to add your broth and cooked chicken. Pour in the chicken broth and give everything a good stir. Bring the soup to a simmer and then cover with a lid. Let the soup simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step Five: Next, give the soup a taste and add in extra salt or pepper if you feel like the soup needs it. Ok, now add in your dry gluten free pasta and let it cook until tender. This could take anywhere between 8-12 minutes. It just depends on the type of pasta you use. It usually takes around ten minutes for me.
Step Six: Last, but certainly not least, its time to freshen things up a bit! Stir plenty of fresh fresh lemon juice and fresh dill into the soup and then give it taste. Add a little more lemon juice if you would like and then serve with extra fresh dill on top. Enjoy!

I recently had the opportunity to sampleGluten Free CafesNew Chicken Noodle Soup, courtesy of Mambo Sprouts. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am about this! There is nothing worse than having to make chicken noodle soup by scratch when you are sick!
This is the first product by Gluten-Free Cafe that I have tried and if the other products are this good, I will be stocking up! This soup is better than ANY canned chicken noodle soup that I can remember from my former gluten-days. The flavor is rich and soothing at the same time. I made it for lunch yesterday when my guys were gone, and I had a difficult time stopping myself from eating it all, so they could try it too. When I warmed the soup up this morning, so they could to take a quick sample bite before heading out, Sam was reluctant to try it at first . It took some coercing, but he finally agreed to try it. After one bite, he took the entire bowl .
