- Combine chicken broth, ginger powder, half of the green onions in a large saucepan
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce heat to simmer
- Add xanthan gum if desired

I then slowly stir the soup while drizzling the beaten egg mixture into the soup . I prefer using a wide wooden spoon to help make longer egg ribbons. A whisk seems to break the ribbons up too much, leaving them more like scrambled eggs floating in broth. But, even if you dont get the technique down on the first try, itll still taste yummy nonetheless!

Can You Freeze Egg Drop Soup How To Make Ahead
Yes but with some tips. Make the broth ahead of time and freeze. When you are ready, bring the broth back to a gentle simmer then add-in the whisked eggs. If you freeze the soup with egg ribbons, the egg texture wont be as good.
If you are adding a thickener to the soup, same as above. Only thicken the soup before serving.
