How To Make Chicken Ramen
- Sauté carrots, bell pepper and green onions in oiled skillet.
- Add curry paste, water, coconut milk and fish sauce and bring to a boil.

We Tried Nissin Raoh Ramen
It Comes in 3 Varieties, We Tried the Soy Sauce Flavor
Usually I am a Top Ramen girl , but I branched out and picked up a package of Nissin Raoh ramen soy sauce flavor. The line actually comes in three flavors soy sauce, tonkotsu and miso. But I picked this one up at some point before we all went into self-isolation. Ive heard good things about the tonkotsu flavor. Its being shipped to me, so stay tuned.
So, heres the first thing about this ramen. The noodles arent fried. Instead theyre put through a triple layer air-drying process. The long and the short of is, its lower in fat. And delivers a chewy noodle closer to fresh quality. The sauce packet is liquid rather than powder.
Process-wise, while the noodles are boiling, you put the sauce packet in a bowl, add the water, then add the noodles. I cooked the noodles for three minutes instead of four.
I know lots of folks like to doctor up their ramenadd a hard boiled egg, some vegetables, etc. But for this taste test, we kept it simple. Just a little green onion.
Verdict: Honest to god, this is really good packet ramen. I like the chewiness of the noodles. The broth has a good, not too salty, soy sauce flavor. A real step up in terms of packet ramen, though Ill always have a soft spot for Top Ramen.

Tonkotsu is a style of ramen from Kyushu and is the most popular flavor of ramen in both Japan and the US. RAOH Umami Tonkotsu features many layers of flavors, including onion, garlic and ginger making the soup rich and robust. I also love how the Nissin RAOH Ramen are so versatile.
Yes, of course you can just eat them straight up as they are, not changing a thing and youll still get a delicious bowl of ramen, but if you want to make it more of a meal you can add a protein and veggie to complete it.
And the best part? Unlike existing instant noodle products that are deep fried, RAOHs ramen noodles are not fried, so they contain no trans fats, no cholesterol and very little saturated fat.
