It quickly became a popular recipe, as its simple, hearty ingredients made for delicious family fare. My recipe is slightly adapted from the original fat flush soup Womans World recipe, with some small tweaks I think youll enjoy.

  • Meat: There are a lot of ways you can change up the recipe. To make it more filling, try adding in some meat like chicken, turkey, or beef. It may not be as low in calories, but it will still be healthy and delicious. If youre starting with raw meat, youll want to sauté it for a few minutes ahead of time to get it browned. If you dont want to add meat, but still want to make the recipe more filling you could cook in some lentils with your Cabbage Soup.
  • Broth: You can exchange the vegetable broth in the recipe for chicken broth or beef broth if you prefer. You can also use low-sodium broth if youre trying to reduce sodium.
  • Add-ins: There are lots of vegetable and spice/herb add-ins you can put in the soup if youd like to change up the taste. Try adding some bell peppers, green beans, green peppers, or seasonings like red pepper flakes, paprika, and Italian seasoning.


How To Make Vegetable Soup

1. Prep Wash and chop all of your veggies. Sort your veggies by cook time, things that take longer go in first while things that are quicker can go later .

2. Flavor I add a touch of water and sautee onion and garlic first for flavor. Add spices or herbs to your liking.

3. Simmer Bring broth to a simmer adding in veggies and allow to cook until tender.

How To Make Chicken Detox Soup

  • Set a large sauce pot over medium heat. Add the olive oil, chopped onions, celery, ginger, and garlic. Saute to soften. Then add the raw chicken breasts, broth, carrots, apple cider vinegar, crushed red pepper, turmeric and sea salt.
  • Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer, until the chicken breasts are cooked through. Then remove the chicken with tongs and set them on a cutting board to cool.
  • Add the broccoli, peas, and parsley to the pot. Continue to simmer to soften the broccoli. Meanwhile, shred the chicken breasts with two forks, and stir it back into the soup.
  • Once the broccoli is tender, taste, then salt and pepper as needed. Serve warm.

    No matter how you dish it up, your own homemade soup is fresher and tastier than the canned stuff. Or to put it another way, it’s just veggilicious.

    How To Lose One Pound A Week

    But for most, Blatner says that souping could be a way to kick-start healthy eating, as long as you’re getting at least 1,200 calories a day for women or 1,500 for men.

    Now about this weight loss Cabbage Soup , most websites featuring this diet says you should boil the vegetables in water, uhno maam!! Ive always used chicken broth or vegetable broth with seasoned canned tomatoes, which has never hindered my weight loss. Just try to use the low-sodium versions if possible
