Corona Police Community Partnership is a 501 nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enhance cooperation between the police and the citizens of Corona to ensure a safe community. Activities and programs include: scholarships to local high school seniors wanting to enter law enforcement upon graduation, participation in community events, and the Corona Police Department Employee Recognition Banquet. Membership is open to any person over 18 years of age who lives or works in the City of Corona. Heritage Park And Museum
Heritage Park and Museum is a volunteer-operated 501 non-profit corporation and a permanent center for the community’s history, art and culture. The museum was once the company store of the Foothill Lemon Ranch and had been the agricultural hub of the City that became known as “The Lemon Capital of the World.” In addition, the Park consists of four historic homes, several citrus packing houses, botanical gardens, specimen grove and entomological laboratory. The Corona Heritage Park and Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tues. through Sat. It is free to the public and membership is open to everyone.

Corona Fire Safety Foundation
Corona Fire Safety Foundation is a non-profit public benefit corporation that provides a partnership between the community and the Corona Fire Department to expand public safety for the citizens of Corona. Recent activities and programs have included: Supplying digital cameras, confined space rescue equipment, firefighter rescue belts, and automatic electronic defibrillators funding for Vials of Life, Fire Explorer, Burn Institute of Inland Empire, fire service scholarships, and programs for swimming pool safety, smoke detectors, and Freddy the Fire Truck. This guidance is based on the Canadian context and public health assumptions that reflect the currently available scientific evidence and expert opinion. This guidance is subject to change as new information on transmissibility and epidemiology becomes available. It should be read in conjunction with relevant provincial/territorial and local legislation, regulations and policies.
Homelessness is often the result of the interaction between structural factors, insufficient services, and individual circumstances.Footnote 1 Many people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness rely on community-based organizations, non-profit and voluntary organizations for a range of essential services. Marginalized and vulnerable groups, including Indigenous community members, individuals identifying as LGBTQ2S+, and youth, are disproportionately represented among those experiencing homelessnessFootnote 2Footnote 3Footnote 4Footnote 5. While men comprise almost three quarters of the share of Canadians experiencing homelessness,Footnote 6 women’s experience of homelessness tends to be “hidden”, living temporarily with family, friends or in their car because they have nowhere else to live.Footnote 7 Evidence shows that women are most likely to be the head of the families staying in shelters.Footnote 8

Our community – especially our most vulnerable residents – needs the help of volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you would like to help, please fill out the online Volunteer Sign Up Form. We’ll match you with local needs. At this time, we are only focusing on volunteers aged 60 and under based on recommendations from health officials.
Volunteers will engage in a variety of activities, such as delivering meals to those in need, helping with food distribution events, shopping and delivering medications for homebound seniors and much more.

Corona Model Railroad Society
The CMRS has an HO model railroad that represents Corona, Riverside, and Fullerton about 1949, before citrus gave way to housing and as steam was about to give way to diesel. CMRS members have worked hard to create a historically accurate representation of these cities and the four railroads that served them. Responding To A Covid
If COVID-19 transmission is ongoing in the local community or COVID-19 has been identified among staff/volunteers or clients who attend your facility, work with your local PHA to establish plans to reduce the risk of transmission in your environment. If staff/volunteers or clients have exposures or develop symptoms, ensure alignment with local or jurisdictional protocols for diagnostic testing, quarantine , isolation, physical distancing and clinical management. Consider that clients may have COVID-19 even if they exhibit no symptoms at all. COVID-19 is spread through contact with the respiratory droplets produced by infected individuals when they cough, sneeze, or even when they laugh, speak or sing including by individuals who have not yet or who may never develop symptoms.

Street Vendor Emergency Fund:A very popular crowdsourcing fund that goes to support LAs vital street food vendors, many of whom are undocumented and have been even more impacted by the pandemic due to the stay-at-home orders, curfews, and other restrictions. The organizations next goal of $200,000 is still in progress after recently reaching $150,000.

Community Emergency Response Team
The Community Emergency Response Team Program, implemented in many communities across the country, is designed to increase individual and community preparedness and self-reliance in the event of man-made or natural disasters. The CERT Program is a partnership in preparedness for emergencies while teaching individuals to take care of their family and neighbors and to assess hazards after a disaster as part of a trained team. The 27 hour FEMA based course is free to Corona area residents and includes training in: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Disaster Medical, Light Search and Rescue, Disaster Psychology, CERT Organization and Terrorism.
