If you buy your veggies at a farmers market, try looking out for Romanesco cauliflower as it is green and has a different flavor to the white one, but makes a great alternative in this recipe. When you are sautéing the garlic just be careful because it can burn quite easily.

- Chicken breasts- I will make my shredded chicken using my slow cooker in advance in bulk. This speeds this recipe up big time!
- Chicken broth This is the base of the soup and adds lots of flavors. It is also used to cook your chicken in your crock pot.
- Green peppers, onions, garlic Low carb veggies give this fajita soup nutrients and lots of added flavor!
- Cream cheese, heavy cream, butter- These fats will add richness to your soup as well as creaminess.
- Taco seasoning- I like to use my homemade keto taco seasoning since store-bought seasoning packets can contain some non-keto ingredients.
Steps for making your chicken fajita soup:
Step 1: I begin this recipe by preparing the chicken, so it is easy to shred later. I add boneless skinless chicken breasts to my slow cooker. It isnt necessary to make it this way; it just makes my life easier around dinner time to have the chicken already cooked. Also, if you prefer a different cut of chicken feel free to make substitutions that best suit your needs. You could also use a rotisserie chicken if you like!
Step 2: Saute the onion and bell peppers in butter to bring out incredible flavor in your chicken fajita soup.
Step 3: Add in some homemade taco seasoning if you are following a strict keto diet. I like to make my seasoning in bulk and keep it in my pantry.

Can I Put Noodles In Keto Chicken Soup
Traditional pasta noodles are not an option in keto chicken soup because they are too high in carbs. But I am happy to say that there are some really good noodle substitutes that you can use in your keto soup recipes:
Let me share with you a few good suggestions:
- Spaghetti Squash The long strands resemble spaghetti and take on the flavor of the sauce poured over them. Guide to Cooking Spaghetti Squash.
- Zucchini Noodles You can buy these spaghetti shaped noodles or make them yourself with a spiralizer.its very easy to do. Guide to Making Zucchini Noodles.
- Shirataki Noodles We buy angel hair Pasta Zero in our grocery store. We love it. Put your favorite sauce over them and they pick up the flavor of whatever they are mixed with.

- Hearts of Palm Rice By Natural Haven and it comes in white or brown. It is such a good rice substitute that you wont know that you arent eating rice.
Does Chicken Broth Kick You Out Of Keto
Chicken broth is generally low in carbs so it will not kick you out of keto. Just a hint, read the label just to make sure before buying it in case there are any additional ingredients that are not keto-friendly.;
You can also make your own broth naturally by cooking your own chicken in the pot. By simmering it for a couple hours, you will be starting off your soup with a lot of flavor.

How To Make Keto French Onion Soup
To start, slice all of your onions. This can be a rough process due to the tears. A method that can work is by not cutting the bulb at the end. Even doing this I find it slows it down but doesnt prevent the eventual burn.
How to cut an onion? I slice in half then into quarters. Next, I slice the onion into thin slices this way they arent too large to fit on the spoon.
On a medium low heat add onions to a pot adding in butter as well. The trick is not too hot in order to get a good caramelization. You run the risk of burning by turning the heat up, you just have to wait it out.
Now, itll take at least 30 minutes up to an hour before they are perfect.
Once onions are caramelized grate three cloves of garlic over them then add in keto friendly white wine. Normally, a dry sherry wine is used which doesnt have that much sugar in it. I would use sherry, but more keto friendly wines I will list below in my recipe tips.
Next, add in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Toss in a few stems of thyme and allow it to simmer about 20-30 minutes for flavors to work together.
Will Cream Of Asparagus Soup Upset My Stomach
Asparagus is high in fiber, so it might upset your stomach a bit if you are sensitive to it or do not regularly eat fiber.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, though, as fiber is good for the digestive system. You might experience flatulence or mild stomach cramps if you are particularly sensitive to it.

There is also chicken bone broth. We buy the Kettle and Fire brand. It is made from organic free range chicken bones that are slow simmered for 14 hours, is also gluten free and is high in protein, 10 grams in 1 cup.
