Tips For Making Healthy Soup Recipes:
Add more veggies! You can always sneak in more veggies to soups. I like to use my food processor to get the veggies in super small pieces, or add a couple cups of chopped greens at the end of cooking soup.
Use bone broth: Bone broth is an awesome way to amp up the protein and nutrients in your soup recipes
Use a parmesan cheese rind This is such a simple thing you can do to amplify the flavor of your soup. I grab them at the grocery store. Simply remove them once youre done cooking and youre good to go!
Add pasta, zoodles and greens at the end. I rarely cook pasta/zoodles in soup. Youre better off to cook separately and then add to your bowl when youre serving!
Which soup is healthiest? That depends on who you ask! Personally, I think any soup that is loaded with veggies + protein is healthy. Minestrone, Chicken Soup and Vegetable soup are all great healthy options!

Cabbage Soup With Ground Beef
This recipe is from Wholesome Yum and shes known to be the genius behind several easy low carb recipes. This is no exception.
She made this recipe on the premise of improving the once-poplar cabbage soup diet. It inherently had unsustainable disadvantages the most glaring of which are the lack of protein and fat. On that note, what she did was simple: add ground beef to the recipe and have it as part of a healthy meal plan rather than an actual diet. This way, you get all the nutrients your body needs without exceeding your caloric limit.

How Do You Make Weight Loss Soup
Cook this healthy soup on the stovetop or it would be great made in a slow cooker. I am going to give it a try in the Instant Pot. Cooking it for 8 mins on high pressure.
In a large pot, brown ground turkey or cook chopped chicken. Once the meat protein is cooked, drain the fat if there is any.
Prepare your fresh vegetables by chopping the onion, mincing the garlic, seeding and chopping the bell peppers, and slicing the mushrooms. Add all the fresh vegetables to the browned chicken.
Stir the contents of the pot together and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the remaining ingredients, except cilantro and parsley. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
A cup of green beans and or a couple of cups of shredded cabbage would also be a nice addition. If adding these veggies make sure you simmer the soup for 30 minutes or until the cabbage is softened.
Lastly, stir in cilantro and parsley. Since cilantro and parsley can lose their flavor quickly when boiled or simmered add them last. By adding fresh herbs like these last you will add freshness and color to your soup.

Soup Is Naturally Low In Calories
During the cold, wintery months, few things beat a comforting bowl of soup. But warming you up is only one of the things this dish is good for. Soup can and should be a part of your healthy diet. It can also be a weight watchers best friend, says Christine Palumbo, RD, who is based in Chicago.
To make a weight-friendly soup, you simply need the right ingredients.
Veggies are one of them, Palumbo says. The vast majority of soups contain at least some vegetables, which can be challenging for some people to otherwise bring into their diet, she explains. Noshing on veggies may help lower your risk for heart disease and stroke, keep certain cancers at bay, and stabilize blood sugar levels, which may help curb your appetite, according to the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Lean protein is another must-have soup ingredient if youre looking to lose weight. A diet rich in protein can help you feel full compared with lower-protein diets, and this may aid weight management, according to a meta-analysis published in June 2016 in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Lean protein keeps total and saturated fat low, per the U.S. Department of Agriculture . When preparing soup, consider options like beans, lentils, and shredded boneless, skinless white meat chicken.

Disadvantages Of A Soup Diet
One of the major downsides to soup diets is that most of them arent designed to be followed for longer than 5-10 days. Therefore, unless you have a more sustainable diet to transition to, you will likely regain the weight you lost while on this diet.
Also, studies suggest that when you severely restrict calorie intake or rapidly lose a sustained amount of weight, your metabolic rate decreases. This means that your body starts burning fewer calories per day than before. Therefore, after stopping the diet, the drop in your metabolism can make it more difficult to maintain your weight loss.
Also, since soup diets like the cabbage soup diet are quite restrictive on the types and amounts of foods allowed, there is a risk of nutrient deficiency.Although restricted eating for just 5-10 days is unlikely to cause serious nutrient deficiencies, especially if taking a multivitamin, a significant reduction in caloric intake can lead to side effects, such as dizziness, weakness or fatigue.
Soup diets have become popular for their ability to help you lose a significant amount of weight in just 5-10 days.
